A certified trainer is recognized and respected by all plus they get paid well.  So choose a certification course to become a personal trainer.  Some of these certification organizations are ACE, ACSM, NCSF, NFM and ISSA. 

The biggest quality a personal trainer should have is patience.  He/she should be persistent, organized, an effective motivator, a good listener and above all a smooth way of conveying a message across.
